How to Install BioniX

Three seconds. No admin rights. No dependencies.

Three Things to Know

Installing for the First Time

  1. Download the installer
Save it anywhere (your desktop is fine) and double-click it.
  2. Choose a folder
The default location is C:\BioniX Wallpaper. You can pick any folder you like.
  3. Press “Install”
BioniX starts automatically after installation and a desktop shortcut is created.

Windows SmartScreen Warning

An electronic signature can cost up to $1000 per year. To keep things affordable, BioniX is not digitally signed. Because of this, Windows may show a SmartScreen warning the first time you run the installer.

Simply click “More info” then “Run anyway”. You will see this message only once. BioniX is completely safe and will pass any antivirus check without issues.

Updating to a New Version

  1. Stop BioniX if it is currently running.
  2. Download the new version.
  3. Install it into the same folder (or a new one).

You do not need to uninstall the old version first. The new installer simply overwrites the old files.

Installing to Program Files

Program Files is a system-protected folder. You can still install BioniX there — here’s how:

  1. Run the installer
    Setup dialog
  2. Navigate to Program Files (x86) and click “Make New Folder”
    Choose Program Files
  3. Create a folder called “BioniX”
Windows will ask for your admin password to create the folder.
    Admin confirmation
  4. Press “OK”
    Installation complete

Portable Mode

BioniX is fully portable. Copy its folder to a USB stick and run it on any Windows PC without installing anything. Your settings travel with you.

Corporate Deployment

BioniX doesn’t require an installer. Corporate users can deploy it to multiple computers by simply copying the BioniX folder over the network, via USB, FTP, or any file-sharing method.
