How to Install — BioniX Wallpaper

Three Things to Know

BioniX installs in less than 3 seconds
No administrator rights required (unless you install to Program Files)
You can install it anywhere — including a USB stick

Installing for the First Time

Download the installer
Save it anywhere (your desktop is fine) and double-click it.
Choose a folder
The default location is C:\BioniX Wallpaper. You can pick any folder you like.
Press “Install”
BioniX starts automatically after installation and a desktop shortcut is created.

Windows SmartScreen Warning

Windows may show a SmartScreen warning the first time you run the installer. SmartScreen warns about new downloads until they build up a download history with Microsoft — even signed programs can see the warning at first.

Simply click “More info” then “Run anyway”. You may see it again when you install a new version. Every release is scanned with Microsoft Defender and VirusTotal.

Updating to a New Version

Stop BioniX if it is currently running.
Download the new version.
Install it into the same folder (or a new one).

You do not need to uninstall the old version first. The new installer simply overwrites the old files.

Installing to Program Files

Program Files is a system-protected folder. You can still install BioniX there — here’s how:

Run the installer
Navigate to Program Files (x86) and click “Make New Folder”
Create a folder called “BioniX”
Windows will ask for your admin password to create the folder.
Press “OK”
