New: AI Border Fill

Coming soon — a feature no other wallpaper manager has.

When a wallpaper doesn’t match your monitor’s aspect ratio, BioniX will use AI to extend the image borders naturally instead of stretching, cropping, or adding black bars. The AI generates new content that blends seamlessly with the original image.

How it works:

  • BioniX detects the aspect ratio mismatch between your wallpaper and your monitor
  • It sends the image to an AI model (local or cloud) which fills in the missing borders
  • The result is cached so each wallpaper is only processed once
  • Works with multiple monitors of different sizes — each gets its own optimized version

Supported providers:

  • Local (free, private): ComfyUI, SD WebUI / Forge — runs on your own GPU
  • Cloud (fast, no GPU needed): Stability AI, Runware ($0.0006/image!), OpenAI, Replicate, fal.ai

This feature is currently in development. As a backstage member, you’ll be among the first to test it.

Report a Bug

Found something broken? A good bug report helps us fix it fast. The more details you provide, the quicker the fix.

The Best Way to Report

When BioniX crashes, it shows a madExcept crash dialog with a “Send bug report” button. This is by far the most useful report because it includes the full crash stack trace, system info, and application state. Please always click “Send” — it helps us enormously.

For non-crash bugs, use the template above and post on r/BioniXWallpaper or send it via the contact form.
